Corporate Social Responsibility

Fully aware of the current economic situation and growing social needs, in 2005 Clínica Dental Oris initiated its charitable work so that patients with low incomes could be seen at our clinic.

Every year, we treat dozens of patients who have been referred from the Social Services centre at Les Corts. Clínica Dental Oris covers the cost of virtually all these treatments.

In this way, we hope to contribute to the welfare of people who are experiencing financial difficulties in our neighbourhood so that they can enjoy good oral and dental health. At Clínica Dental Oris, we enjoy helping our neighbours.

Dental
implants

At Clínica Dental Oris we believe that teeth provide quality of life and are an important part of our personality.

They also give us self-confidence. They let us enjoy eating, laughing and speaking clearly and give us confidence in everyday situations and a positive and natural sense of vitality. But it’s not always possible to have healthy teeth because life also takes its toll on our teeth. It’s quite normal to lose a tooth, either because the tooth itself or the gum is diseased (as in periodontitis, for example) or because of sports injuries or other accidents that happen.

Implantology

Dr. Xavier Martínez

Dental implants: giving you back your comfort, confidence and a lovely smile.Implantology is a specialisation in dentistry that treats the problem of missing teeth. A dental implant can replace an entire tooth, both the crown and the root. We at Clínica Dental Oris can explain what dental implants entail and what benefits they have.

What is a dental implant?

Basically, an implant is an artificial root made of pure titanium, fitted into the core of the upper or lower jawbone tissue.

On top of this implant, your dentist fixes the tooth or teeth required, in a second step. Dental implants are an excellent alternative to removable dentures, because fixed teeth are much more comfortable and functional than dentures.

As strong and safe as natural teeth?

We at Clínica Dental Oris can assure you that implants are a safe and lasting way to replace missing teeth. Both the function and the appearance of your missing teeth can be fully restored. But to receive implants, you need to be in good general health. You also need to have suitable bones in which to fit them. All these conditions will have to be analysed by your dentist, as well as any other possible solutions to your problem.

If you don’t have sufficient bone tissue, other additional techniques will be considered, such as fitting a graft beforehand.
